–  Attach gas generator -4- from bolt -1-.
–  Fit the Head Airbag unit behind the handgrip supports.
–  Tighten bolt -2- to a torque of 9 Nm.
–  Tighten bolt -3- to a torque of 5.5 Nm.

–  Using the clips, attach the curtain airbag to the side part on the inside. When doing so, observe the sequence shown in the figures -3- to -8-.
  Note
t  The correct positioning for the clips is as follows:
t  The finger should be located longitudinally parallel to the clip.
t  The clip must engage audibly.
Continue the assembly in the reverse order to removal, remembering to:

–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Close vehicle windows.
  DANGER!
On connecting the battery earth cable, ensure that there is no-one inside the vehicle .
–  Connect battery earth cable.
  Note
t  On reconnecting battery, remember to activate vehicle equipment (radio/radio navigation system, clock, electric window lifters) in line with → Instruction Manual.
   
t  If, after assembly, the airbag warning light -K75- lights up, the fault memory must be erased using the central diagnosis -VAS 505X-. After erasing the memory, consult the fault memory again .
