Airbag unit, driver´s side 2 generation / steering wheel basic version with and without multi-function elements / square opening: Install
Airbag unit, driver´s side 2 generation / steering wheel basic version with and without multi-function elements / square opening: Install
–  Connect the airbag unit cables
–  Place the airbag unit in the assembly position. Fit by pressing first on the horizontal spoke area and then the vertical.
Continue the assembly in the reverse order to removal, remembering to:
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Close vehicle windows.
  DANGER!
On connecting the battery earth cable, ensure that there is no-one inside the vehicle .
–  Connect battery earth cable.
  Note
t  On reconnecting battery, remember to activate vehicle equipment (radio/radio navigation system, clock, electric window lifters) in line with → Instruction Manual.
   
t  If, after assembly, the airbag warning light -K75- lights up, the fault memory must be erased using the central diagnosis -VAS 505X-. After erasing the memory, consult the fault memory again .
