  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Before disconnecting the connectors, mark them to avoid confusion when refitting.
t  Before working on the electrical system, disconnect the battery earth strap.
t  After connecting the battery, check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows, etc.) according to the instructions in the Repair Manual and / or the Operating Instructions.
–  Turn off the ignition and all electricity consumers.
–  Disconnect the vehicle battery → Starter motor, voltage supply; Rep. gr.27.
   
–  Remove glove compartment → Chapter.
–  Disconnect the Warning lamp for airbag on the front passenger side -K145- from the inside of the recess from the glove compartment.
–  Remove the Warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145-.
