  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Pay attention to coding (obtain as necessary) for vehicles with coded radio/radio navigation system (RNS).
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the radio → Radio units; Radio: Remove and fit; Rep. Gr.91 or the radio and navigation system Low (RNS) → Radio and navigation system Low (RNS); Radio/Navigation dynamic: Remove and fit; Rep. Gr.91.
   
–  Remove the cover -1- using the lever -U 30800--arrows-. Simultaneously but carefully pull the trim by the lower part.
–  Disconnect the two electrical connectors if heated seat regulators are present.
–  Remove the central sign:

Vehicles with climatiser
–  Remove bolts -1-, -2- y -3- securing the central dial.
  Note
The climatiser control unit comes out with the central dial.

–  Remove the connectors -arrows-.

Vehicles with air conditioner or heater/ventilation
–  Remove bolts -1-, -2- y -3- securing the central dial.
–  Remove frontwards the main dial and uncouple the switch electrical connectors.
–  Remove the air conditioner control unit -J301- → Semi-automatic air conditioner ; Removing and fitting the air conditioner and heater control; Rep. Gr.87.
All vehicles (continued)

–  Remove the bolts -1- from the switch board and separate from the central dial.
–  Disconnect the warning light “AIRBAG OFF”-2- from the switch board and remove.
