| Check working of seat belt buckle |
| Checking seat belt buckle: |
| –
| Insert tongue connector in buckle until it clicks into place. |
| –
| Pull hard on the belt to check whether the locking mechanism is engaged. |
| –
| Repeat the test at least 5 times. |
Note | If after a minimum of 5 tests, the tongue comes out once or more, the complete seat belt and buckle must be replaced. |

| Insert tongue until it can be heard to engage. |
| –
| Release the seat belt by pressing the buckle button with finger. When the belt webbing is slack, the tongue should come out of the buckle. |
| –
| Repeat the test at least 5 times. |
Note | If the tongue does not comes out every time, the complete seat belt and buckle must be replaced. |
WARNING | Never use lubricants to remove noise or stiffness from the belt buckle buttons. |
