Removing
   
–  Cut insulation and roof reinforcements -1- (vehicles without panorama sliding roof) or -2- (vehicles with panorama sliding roof) into approx. 9 cm wide strips -3--dot-dash lines-, using a carpet knife.
–  Pull strips -3- from roof.
–  Cut back adhesive residue -4- using an electric cutter -V.A.G 1561 A- and cutting blade -V.A.G 1561/20--5-.
  Note
If paint structure has been damaged on removal of the insulation/roof reinforcements, repair paint damage according to guidelines of → Paint workshop manual.

Installing
   
  Note
Observe adhesive processing instructions when installing insulation and roof reinforcements.
–  Use hand cartridge gun -V.A.G 1628- to apply D 190 MKD A3 adhesive to insulation and roof reinforcement -1- (vehicles without panorama sliding roof) or -2- (vehicles with panorama sliding roof).
–  Apply adhesive in beads.
t  Dimension a = 50 mm
t  Dimension b = 100 mm
t  Dimension c = 25... 30 mm.
t  Dimension d = 20 mm
–  Press insulation and roof reinforcements fully onto roof.
