  Note
t  Installation is described only for the left side. The right side is similar.
t  Remove protective backing immediately before installation. Working temperature of all parts approx. 21° C.
t  Curing period before fitting securing bolts is at least 2 hours at a room temperature of about 21 °C.
t  Use only adhesive remover -D 002 000 10- as cleaning agent.
t  The retaining strip must be bonded in place immediately following cleaning.
–  Immediately before bonding retaining strip, clean bonding surface thoroughly with adhesive remover -D 002 000 10-.
–  Pull protective film -5- off retaining strip -1- immediately prior to installation.
l  Bonding surfaces must be free of dust and grease.

  Caution

Only then has the adhesive tape developed its full strength.
Side member without holes
–  Drill out holes with a 1.5 mm drill bit.
–  Screw in self-tapping screws -2- with cordless drill/driver -VAS 5036-, using the highest speed, until the screw bites. Remove cordless drill/driver immediately.
