| When the front door is renewed, it is possible that the door may not fit. This could be due to damage to the A-pillar (or B-pillar for rear doors) or an unfavourable combination of tolerance dimensions. |
| In such circumstances, "Service door hinges" can be fitted. They are also useful when door hinges have been damaged (cracks in paintwork or sealant). |
| These service door hinges have elongated holes or tapped holes which allow for provisional threaded connections for the door whilst it is being fitted. |
| After the front door has been adjusted, the door hinges are shielded-arc welded. |
