| Overcoming resistance with excess force limitation |

| Prerequisite: automatic opening and closing is initialised (programmed)! |

| Close door window with window regulator switch (automatic closing). |
| If the window in the driver's or front passenger's door is impeded because of resistance or obstruction during the closing sequence (force limitation intervention) the window will open immediately. |

| Press the window regulator switch once again. |
| If the window in the driver's or front passenger's door is impeded because of some resistance or an obstruction during the closing sequence (force limitation intervention) the window will open immediately. |

| Press the window regulator button a third time. |
| Now the window closes as far as the obstruction and stops. |

| To close the window, press and hold the respective window regulator switch button again. The window closes passed the obstruction without using the excessive force limitation until 1. the button is released or 2. obstruction detection (window closed fully) is recognised. |
| This switch operation must take place within 5 seconds of the window stopping and without interruption from other functions (lowering, raising automatically). |
| If the window in the driver's or front passenger's door is impeded because of resistance or obstruction during the closing sequence (force limitation intervention) the window will open immediately. |
| Operation using the interior window regulator switch is now blocked. |
| If the ignition is switched on within 1 minute after the windows are opened and then the button is pressed to close the window within 5 seconds, the process is the same as from the 2nd closure with ignition on. |

| After disconnecting and reconnecting the vehicle battery the automatic closing and opening features for the driver's and front passenger's doors are inoperative. |
