Fold down seat part, open zipper -1-, unhook and remove child seat cushion -2-.

Separate cable ties -1- in hinges of back plate -2- and unhook hinges.

Unhook seat belts on back plate -2-.
–
Unhook guide pins -3- of back plate from guides on left and right and take back plate off seat.

Unscrew nuts -1- with washers -2- (quantity of four). Specified torque: 6 Nm

Take table top -1- off rear of backrest -arrow-.
–
Unhook securing rod -2- for belt with belt latch and pull out.
–
Press mounting -2- (using a screwdriver) outwards and lever out bearing pin of seat plate -1- upwards from mounting.
–
Pull out bearing pin of seat plate -1- from mounting -4- and pull off seat plate -1- from backrest -arrow-.
–
Unscrew belt fittings -3- on left and right. Specified torque: 20 Nm
Removing cover and padding
–
Push out plugs -1- (qty. 6) from steering wheel side and pull out mounting frame -2- (from bottom first) out of backrest.

Pull out guides -2- from head restraints. To do this, use an appropriate drift -1- or similar and push it into small opening to release locking lug -arrow- or push down backrest padding beneath guide and release locking lug directly using a screwdriver.
Note
Locking lug can be found on front or rear side depending on installation position (left or right of backrest).

Disengage locks of cap -1- using a screwdriver and remove cap -1-.
Note
On some versions, the arm rests are clipped in place rather than screwed.

Lever out plug -1- and unscrew Torx bolt (T 30) -2-. Specified torque: 20 Nm

Take off arm rest -3-.

Pull out zip fastener slide -1- from under cover and open zip fastener.

Remove backrest cover.
–
Take off padding elements -1- and -2- from backrest frame -3-.
Removing belt attachment
–
Remove cover -4- of belt attachment on rear of backrest.
–
Unscrew hexagon socket head bolts -1- beneath belt attachment. Specified torque: 8 Nm
–
Fold plastic plate -3- forwards, guide out seat belts -2- and unhook plastic plate -3- at bottom mountings -arrows-.
–
Swing out belt attachment -1- from backrest frame -2--arrow A-.
–
When installing, ensure that guide lugs -arrows B- are seated in allocated recesses.
