Check guide fittings and latch plate
The plastic covered fittings will show slight parallel grooves after the seat belts have been subject to load (accident with the seat belt fastened). (By contrast, a guide fitting which is worn because of frequent use will have a smoothly worn surface, but no scoring).
–  Check for twisting, damage and scratches on the plastic.
l  If there is scoring and/or damage, replace the complete seat belt along with the buckle.
