| Check guide fittings and latch plate |
| The plastic covered fittings will show slight parallel grooves after the seat belts have been subject to load (accident with the seat belt fastened). (By contrast, a guide fitting which is worn because of frequent use will have a smoothly worn surface, but no scoring). |

| Check for twisting, damage and scratches on the plastic. |

| If there is scoring and/or damage, replace the complete seat belt along with the buckle. |
