Removing and installing upper D-pillar trim
Removing and installing upper D-pillar trim
  Note
The illustration is shown only for one side from which the essential points can be derived from the other side as a mirror image.
Vehicles without air conditioner and vehicles with air conditioner and curtain airbag
   
1 - Seal
q   Ensure seal is seated correctly after installing trim
2 - Clip
q   Qty. 4
q   Destroyed during removal
3 - Trim panel
q   Removing:
–  Disengage locking lugs → Item and unclip cap → Item and remove upwards or unclip cap → Item and fold upwards
–  Unscrew belt guide fitting → Item or → Item
–  Starting from bottom, carefully lever off trim from D-pillar using removal lever -80 - 200-
q   Installing:
–  Lever clips → Item out of mounting holes of D-pillar, replace with new ones and insert in trim mountings
–  Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal

q   Old version
6 - Hexagon bolt
q   40 Nm
7 - Seat belt with belt anchor
q   Old version
8 - Hexagon bolt
q   40 Nm
9 - Cover
q   New version
10 - Seat belt with belt anchor
q   New version

Vehicles with air conditioner and without curtain airbag
   
1 - Clip
q   Qty. 2
q   Destroyed during removal
2 - Cover
q   Lever out
3 - Cross-head screw
4 - Trim panel
q   Removing:
–  Lever out covers → Item and remove cross-head screws → Item
–  Disengage locking lugs → Item and unclip cap → Item and remove upwards or unclip cap → Item and fold upwards
–  Unscrew belt guide fitting → Item or → Item
–  Starting from bottom, carefully lever off trim from D-pillar using removal lever -80 - 200-
q   Installing:
–  Lever clips → Item out of mounting holes of D-pillar, replace with new ones and insert in trim mountings
–  Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal
5 - Belt relay
q   Old version
6 - Hexagon bolt
q   40 Nm
7 - Cover
q   Old version
8 - Locking lug
9 - Seat belt with belt anchor
q   New version
10 - Cover
q   New version
11 - Hexagon bolt
q   40 Nm
12 - Seal
q   Ensure seal is seated correctly after installing trim
