Removing –  Disconnect battery earth strap from battery. –  Take out luggage compartment cover. –  Fold backrests of passenger compartment seats forwards. –  Remove sun visors → Chapter. –  Remove A-pillar trim → Chapter. –  Remove upper B-pillar trim → Chapter. –  Remove upper C-pillar trim → Chapter. –  Remove upper D-pillar trim → Chapter.

–  Lever out interior light -1-, clock -2- and disconnect connectors.

–  Unscrew cross-head bolts -1-. Lower cover -2- and pull off from body flange in -direction of arrow-. –  Pull off beading -3- from moulded headliner aperture.

Interior light with push button switch –  Lever out interior light -1- (in passenger compartment) using a screwdriver and separate connectors -2- (locking lug can be found on short housing side).

Interior light with rotary switch –  Lever out interior light -1- (in passenger compartment) using a screwdriver -arrow- and separate connector -2-. (Locking lug can be found on long housing side.)

–  Lever out reading lamps using a screwdriver and separate connectors.

Removing grab handles ► 05.00 –  Fold grab handle -1- down. –  Lever covers -2- up using screwdriver and fold open. –  Unscrew cross-head screws -3- and take off handle-1-.

Removing grab handles 06.00 ► –  Fold grab handle -1- down. –  Lever covers -2- up using screwdriver and fold open. –  Unscrew cross-head screws -3- and take off handle-1-.

Removing grab handles 06.00 ► (vehicles with curtain airbag) –  Fold grab handle -1- down. –  Lever covers -2- up using screwdriver and fold open. –  Remove bolts -3- and remove grab handle -1-.   Note When installing, use only new bolts and clean threads on vehicle prior to installation using thread cutter. All vehicles

–  Lever out caps -1- and -2- (above driver's door).

–  Using a screwdriver, lever out heater and fresh air regulator for passenger compartment -1- and separate connectors -2-.

1 -	Moulded headlining

Removing:

–	Pull off doors seals and rear lid seal in upper area from panel flange

–	Unscrew plugs → Item

–	Lever off cap → Item

–	Lower moulded headliner → Item slightly in rear area and pull out of clips backwards out of vehicle

q	Vehicles without sliding/tilting sunroof only
