Gas damper: removing

–	Underpin the tailgate.

–	Lift the securing clamp -3- using a screwdriver and release the damper from the ball joint -1- .

Note

If the gas pressure damper is re-used, the security strap -3- must not be removed completely from the ball joint, -4- because strap may be damaged.
