| t | Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter. |
| – | With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery. |
| – | Remove the front seat . |
| – | Remove the back of the front seat. |
| – | Undo the seat back upholstery around the airbag -1-. |
| – | Unscrew bolts -2-. |
| – | Disconnect the side impact airbag connector -3-. |
| – | Remove the side impact airbag -1- from the housing on the seat back frame. |
