| Check support fittings and tongue of belt buckle |
| The plastic covered support fittings have slight parallel grooves after the belts have been subjected to load (accident with the seat belt fastened), while wear as a result of frequent use can be distinguished as the marks are smooth and without lines. |

| Check the plastic for damage, cracks and loose particles. |
| If grooves and/or wear are observed, replace the complete seat belt and buckle. |
