t  Testing, assembly and repair work should only be carried out by personnel specialised in this field
t  The components of the belt tensioner can not be opened or repaired. As a general rule, new parts should be used.
t  Tensioner units which drop on the ground must not be fitted in the vehicle.
t  Tensioner units which are physically damaged (cracks, dents), must, as a rule, be replaced.
t  Seat belt tensioners that have been triggered should be disposed of as scrap
t  The tensioner units should be fitted as soon as they are removed from their packing box
t  If work has to be stopped, the tensioner unit should be replaced in its box again
t  The belt tensioner unit should not be left unsupervised
t  The tensioner unit should not be treated with grease, cleaning products or similar, nor should it be exposed to temperatures over 100°C
