General assembly overview

Removing
  WARNING
Disconnect battery earth strap before working on the electrical system.
–  Remove the sunshades
–  Remove the roof handgrips.
–  Undo the cover with the interior light → Item
–  Remove the connector → Item
–  Extract the bolts → Item .
  Note
The frame → Item is fixed to the moulded ceiling → Item with staples. To remove the frame the sliding sunroof must be opened to the maximum

   
–  Lower the central sunshade -1- where there is one
–  Take out the plate bolt -2- from the roof spar -3- and remove the sunshade
–  Lower the front part of the moulded ceiling -4- and move it backwards, until the guide tabs -5- come out of the roof crossbeam -6-. Pull the moulded ceiling forwards to detach it from the roof crossbeam
–  Lower the moulded ceiling -4- with the help of a second worker (danger of breakage) and remove from the vehicle
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following should be taken into account:

After reconnecting the battery check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows), as shown in the Repair Manual and/or the Owners' Manual.
