Removing and installing engine
Additional information and removal instructions for vehicles with air conditioner
Warning!
The air conditioning system refrigerant circuit must not be opened.

Notes:

  • ◆ The refrigerant circuit can only be opened in workshops having specially trained personnel and the necessary tools and workshop equipment.
  • ◆ To avoid damage to condenser as well as to refrigerant pipes and hoses, ensure that the pipes and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.

To facilitate removing and installing the engine without opening the refrigerant circuit:

  • ‒ Remove retaining clamp(s) from refrigerant pipes.
  • ‒ Remove ribbed belt .
  • ‒ Removing air conditioner compressor:

=> Heating, Air conditioning system; Repair group 87; removing and installing air conditioner compressor bracket

  • ‒ Secure air conditioner compressor to body so that the refrigerant hoses/pipes are relieved.
