Checking
Checking
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Connect manometer battery (AC service station.)
–  Read the manometers. Two results A and B may be displayed.

Ambient temperature (in °C)Pressure in refrigerant circuit in bar (overpressure)
15 ℃3,9
+ 20 ℃4,7
+ 30 ℃6,7
+ 40 ℃9,1

t  A - The pressure in the refrigerant circuit is lower than that indicated in the table (insufficient refrigerant in the circuit).
- Check for leaks using leak detector.
- Pressure relief valve open, check that the refrigerant fan activates according to the electrical circuit diagram.
Check that refrigerant piping and hoses and not bent too much or kinked (narrowing cross-section), and ensure that they are not damaged. If no faults are found, purge the refrigerant circuit.
t  B - The pressure in the refrigerant circuit is equal to or higher than that indicated in the table.
–  Start the engine.
–  Set air conditioning system for maximum cooling output.
–  Open the doors.
–  Open the dash panel vents.
The compressor is driven by the engine by means of a Poly-V belt and an electromagnetic coupling.
  Note
t  If the air-conditioner compressor is not activated, check the power supply to the air-conditioner electromagnetic coupling -N25- with the electrical circuit diagram.
t  If the power supply is correct, repair the electromagnetic coupling.
If the compressor is driven, check the refrigerant circuit:
–  Let the engine run at a speed of 2000 rpm.
–  Observe the manifold gauge.
