q   The radiator fan control unit -J293- in conjunction with the engine control unit and the gearbox control unit (automatic gearbox) controls the air conditioning system magnetic clutch -N25-.
q   Switches off air conditioning system magnetic clutch -N25- for a limited time for kick-down or at full load.
q   Controls the first radiator fan speed
q   Controls the radiator run-on phase
q   Controls coolant circulation pump -V50-
q   Delays the switching on of the air conditioning system magnetic clutch -N25- for 8 seconds to make starting the engine easier
q   On relay carrier
27 - Radiator fan 2nd speed relay -J101-
q   Switches on the fan second speed when the ignition is off (radiator fan run-on phase)

Removing fresh air blower -V2-
1 - Heater unit

–  Removing glove box or passenger side airbag unit → Rep. Gr.69
–  Pull connector -4- off fresh air blower.
–  Using a screwdriver, raise locking lug carefully and turn fresh air blower -V2- in direction of arrow.
–  Pull out fresh air blower -V2-.

Removing sunlight penetration photosensor -G107-
–  Using a screwdriver, unclip sunlight penetration photosensor -G107--1- on side.
–  Pull connector off.

Removing fresh air and air recirculation flap control motor -V154-
–  Remove dash panel → Rep. Gr.70.
–  Remove air duct under dash panel.

–  Unscrew bolts (1.4 ± 0.2 Nm) -2- and remove air duct -1-.

–  Pull connector -1- off control motor.
–  Remove bolts -2-.
–  Pull out fresh air and air recirculation flap control motor -V154--3- sideways.

Renewing fresh air blower control unit -J126-
–  Remove glove box or passenger side airbag unit.
–  Pull off connector -2- and remove bolt -3-.
–  Seal area between fresh air blower control unit -J126--1- and air duct with AMV 176 000 05 before fitting.
Install in reverse order.

Remove centre vent control motor -V102-.
–  Remove driver side dash panel cover.
–  Pull off connector -1- and remove bolts -2-.
–  Pull out centre vent control motor -V102--3-.

Removing and installing front air distribution control motor -V145-
Removing:
–  Remove driver side dash panel cover.
–  Pull off connector -1- and remove bolts -2-.
–  Pull out front air distribution control motor -V145--3-.
Installing:
Install in reverse order. Note the following when doing this:
The markings -arrows- must align with one another when the air distribution flap is correctly adjusted.

Removing:
–  Remove dash panel → Rep. Gr.70.
–  Remove air duct under dash panel.

–  Unscrew bolts (1.4 ± 0.2 Nm) -2- and remove air duct -1-.

–  Pull off connector -1- and remove bolts -2-.
–  Pull out temperature flap control motor -V68--3-.
Installing:
Install in reverse order. Note the following when doing this:
The markings -arrows- must align with one another when the temperature flap is correctly adjusted.

–  Remove front left footwell trim.
–  Pull connector -1- off front vent temperature sender -G152-.
–  Turn front vent temperature sender -G152- 90° and remove.
