Right temperature flap control motor -V159- with potentiometer for right temperature flap control motor -G221-: Removing and installing.
  Note
t  Check the function of the servomotor as follows: connect both contacts „5“ and „6“ to a plug of the control motor to a 12 V direct current voltage source. Control motor then moves only in one direction as far as stop. Interchanging positive and negative reverses direction. Use an adapter lead for this purpose → Chapter.
t  Following the fitting of a new servo motor, carry out the basic setting of the air conditioning. → Vehicle diagnostic tester
t  With the function „basic adjustment“ additional tests can be done for the activation of the air conditioning electric components, for example, that they are not mixed up → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
Removal:
–  Switch ignition OFF.
–  Remove the passenger side foot well cover according to the version of the model → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68.

  E87-10082
The lever -E- in the control motor is marked, it is black with the temperature flap control motor, right -V159-.
Re-install all parts removed in reverse order; note the following:
–  Route wiring harness so that it cannot come into contact with moving components (e.g. control motor lever).
  Note
All cable ties and other electric wiring harness fasteners released or severed when removing the air conditioner unit are to be re-attached in the same position on fitting.
–  Consult the fault memory of the Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase the faults that appear → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
–  Carry out the basic adjustment and diagnostic of the air conditioning actuators the consult the fault memory once again → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
