Leon Mk2
Note
|
1 - | Screw |
q | Replace |
q | Tightening torque: 20 Nm |
q | Loosening and tightening → Chapter |
Note
t | Use the screw you removed to adjust the clearance. |
t | Only place the new screw after establishing the clearance dimension (due to the threat fixing agent). |
2 - | Drive plate |
q | Different versions → Parts catalogue |
q | Removing and fitting → Chapter |
q | Activated for excess torque (for example if the compressor becomes difficult to power). |
q | Check and adjust the clearance between the rubber element of the pulley and the drive plate → Chapter. |
3 - | Spacing washers to adjust the clearance. |
q | Check and adjust the clearance between the rubber element of the pulley and the drive plate → Chapter. |
q | Clearance: 0.5 +/– 0.2 mm |
q | Use 3 washers maximum. |
Note
t | If the clearance is very small even after fitting a maximum of 3 washers, check the pulley and the bracket in the compressor. |
t | The clearance must be within the permitted tolerance all the way around the drive plate (all 4 measurement points). |
4 - | Circlip |
q | Replace |
q | Fit on the correct side (flat side facing the compressor) |
q | Removing and fitting → Chapter |
5 - | Belt pulley |
q | The rubber element acts in case of excess torque (in case the compressor becomes difficult to power) and the pulley moves freely without powering the compressor. |
q | Different versions → Parts catalogue |
q | Removing and fitting → Chapter |
q | Check and adjust the clearance between the rubber element of the pulley and the drive plate → Chapter. |
Note
Under certain conditions (for example, engine trouble) the rubber element may be activated even if there is no problem with the compressor or the refrigerant circuit. |
6 - | Compressor |
q | Different types are fitted depending on the engine specifications (and the vehicle country type). → Parts catalogue |
q | Clean the compressor bracket before fitting the pulley. |
