  Note
t  Use oil for the hydraulic circuits → Electronic spare parts catalogue (ETKA).
t  Replace seals.
t  Secure the connecting pieces of the hose lines with clamps → Electronic spare parts catalogue (ETKA).
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Removing and installing pipe and hose assembly in the pump
–  To remove, the safety fastener must be released -3- with a screwdriver, and the pipe and hose assembly uncoupled -1- from the master cylinder -4-.
–  To fit, the pipe and hose assembly must be installed with pressure, together with the new O-ring -2-, in the pump, until the safety fastener -3- is audibly secured.
–  Pull assembly, pipes and hose to check it is properly secured.
  Note
t  When performing the following operations, care must be taken not to spill brake fluid onto the side member or gearbox. If fluid comes into contact with them, the affected area must be thoroughly cleaned.

t  When removing the hose assembly or master cylinder, use the hydraulic seal adapters to avoid liquid leaking onto the body.
