  Note
t  Mount gearbox on assembly stand → Chapter.
t  Always consult technical data when installing new sprockets. → Chapter
t  Lubricate all bearings, mobile pinions and synchromesh rings of input shaft with sprocket oil.
t  Do not mix up synchromesh rings. If re-using, allocate them to corresponding mobile pinion.
t  When installing new sliding gears or a new input shaft, all details of the → Electronic spare parts catalogue ETKA and technical data must be observed.
t  The input shaft must be re-adjusted if the position of tapered roller bearings is affected when renewing parts. See adjustment overview → Chapter.
   
1 - clutch housing
q   Repairing → Chapter
2 - Outer track, roller bearing
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
3 - Tapered roller bearing
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
4 - Input shaft:
q   Adjust convergence → Chapter
5 - 3rd speed selector gear
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
q   Installation position: The collar must show towards the 4th gear pinion
6 - Circlip
q   Use pliers -A-81124- to remove the safety ring.
q   Always replace.
7 - 4th speed selector gear
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
q   Installation position: The collar must show towards the 3rd gear pinion
8 - Tapered roller bearing inner race
q   Pressing off with 4th speed selector gear and sleeve → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
9 - Thrust washer
q   Removal:
q   Fitting → Fig.
10 - Outer track, roller bearing
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Fitting → Fig.
11 - Shim
q   For input shaft
q   Determining thickness → Chapter
12 - Gearbox

13 - Needle bearing bush
q   Press off with 4th speed selector gear and tapered roller bearing inner race → Fig.
q   Before installing, insert the attack washer → Item

15 - 5th gear mobile pinion
q   Removal of the synchromesh assembly for 5th gear → Chapter
16 - Synchromesh ring of 5th gear:
q   Check for wear → Fig.
17 - Spring
q   Installation
q   Installation position → Fig.
18 - Locking keyways
q   Fitting → Fig.
q   3 off
19 - Synchro-hub
q   Fitting → Fig.
20 - Mobile sleeve of 5th gear
q   Remove together with synchromesh assembly of 5th gear → Chapter
q   Fitting → Chapter
21 - Dished spring
q   Installation position: The concave side must show towards the 5th gear pinion → Fig.
22 - Securing bolt of mobile pinion of 5th gear
q   80 Nm
q   replace
q   Holds plate spring in correct position with adjustment section of bolt head
