Removing and installing cowling with radiator fan -V7- Removal:

–  Release the fasteners -arrows- to remove the central soundproofing panel.

–  Remove the connecting hose »hot side« to the charge air pipe. For this purpose undo hose clamps -1-.

–  Remove the connecting hose »cold side« from the intercooler. For this purpose, loosen the hose clamp -arrow-.

–  Detach the connector -1- of the coolant fan -V7-.   Note The item -arrow- can be disregarded.

–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- for the air intake -1-. Remove connecting hose -2- running to the air filter.

–  Disengage cowling with radiator fan -V7- from locking hook using a suitable tool. –  Removing the air conduit guard with radiator fan -V7-. Proceed as follows when the coolant fan has to be replaced: –  Remove the connector for the radiator fan from the mount.

–  Push pins out of spreader rivets -arrows- → Chapter.

–  Carefully lift up fan ring on back of cowling using a suitable tool. –  Remove radiator cowl.

–  Unscrew the nuts and remove the radiator fan. Installing Tightening torques → Chapter Installation is in the reverse sequence of removal.
