Senders and sensors > < Check vacuum at high-pressure fuel pump (venturi nozzle)
Check vacuum between high-pressure fuel pump (Venturi nozzle) and the injector units
Check vacuum between high-pressure fuel pump (Venturi nozzle) and the injector units
   Do not perform this test before testing the vacuum in the high-pressure fuel pump (venturi nozzle) → Chapter.
   
–  Loosen the return line connection. Release catch -1- to do this.
–  Pull fuel return line connection off injector (solenoid valve injector) in direction of arrow.

–  Connect pressure tester -VAS 6551- with test line -VAS 6551/4- of connection -C- to the high-pressure injector (solenoid valve injector).
–  Close shut-off taps -A- + -B- of pressure tester -VAS 6551- and open shut-off tap -C-.
–  Ask a second mechanic for assistance.

–  Put other end of hose adapter -VAS 6550/3- into a ≤ 3 litre measuring container -3- and hold it there.
–  Switch on pressure tester -VAS 6551- by pressing On/Off button and calibrate it.
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Start the engine.

–  Read pressure on pressure tester -VAS 6551-.
Specification: min. - 0.10 bar
If reading does not match specification, first → Chapter
If the specified value is not attained: Replace fuel return line .
–  Empty measuring container.

Then check the fuel system for leaks .
