Removing and installing thermostat
Removing and installing thermostat
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Installing → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Pliers for spring-type clips -VAS 5024 A- → Anchor see equivalency
   
t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-10380
t  Torque wrench (5... 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter
–  Remove hoses from connection sleeve → Item using the pliers for spring type clips -VAS 5024A-.
–  Unplug the terminal connector on the coolant temperature sender -G62- → Item.
–  Remove bolts → Item.
–  Remove the thermostat → Item.
Installing
Install in reverse order to dismantling, noting the following:
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
