Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench (5... 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  With the ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap.
  WARNING
Fuel supply pipes are pressurised. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then eliminate the pressure by carefully separating the pipe.

–  Disconnect fuel pipe -arrow-, and clean spills with a cloth.
  Note
Press in safety ring to release fuel lines.

–  Unplug connectors -6- from injectors.
–  Open tabs and unclip injector cable harness.
–  Open support -2- and unclip hoses.
–  Detach hose from support -1-.
–  Remove bolts -5-.
–  Remove fuel rail with injectors -7- from housing on the intake collector.
Installing
Install in reverse order to dismantling, noting the following:
–  Renew the O-rings at all opened connections.
–  Lubricate the O-rings with clean engine oil.
–  Fit the fuel distribution with the injectors secured to the intake manifold and insert it evenly.
–  Fit the fuel rail hose to the intake manifold. Tightening torque: 7 Nm
–  Purge the fuel system → Chapter.
