  Note
t  If a new engine control unit -J623- has been fitted, the throttle control unit must be adapted. Adapting is only carried out with the new or previously cleaned throttle control unit, because if there is dirt/carbon at the top limit of the throttle, the adapting readings could be faulty.
t  Take care not to scratch the throttle valve housing when cleaning it.
–  Remove engine control unit -J623- → Chapter.
   
–  Open the throttle by hand and lock the open position with an appropriate tool, such as a plastic or wooden wedge -arrow-.
  WARNING
Acetone is highly inflammable. Respect the accident prevention regulations and the safety indications when working with highly inflammable liquids. Do not use compressed air when cleaning the throttle valve. Wear safety goggles and appropriate clothing to avoid injury and contact with skin.

–  Thoroughly clean throttle valve housing, especially around the closed throttle valve -arrows- using commercially available acetone according to DIN 53247 and a brush.
–  Clean the throat of the throttle valve with a lint free cloth.
–  Allow acetone to fully ventilate and then fit clean throttle valve control unit.
–  Adapt engine control unit -J623- to the throttle valve control unit „Guided function“.
