  Note!
t  Note the expiry date of the sealant.
t  The sealing flange must be fitted in 5 minutes following application of the silicon based sealant.
   
–  Cut the nozzle of the tube on the front mark (nozzle diameter: approx. 3 mm).
–  Apply the silicon based sealant to the clean contact surface of the oil pan, as shown in the figure.
   The strip must:
t  Thickness of the sealant strip -arrows-: 23 mm
  Note!
t  The sealant strip must not be thicker, as otherwise excessive sealant could enter the oil pan and obstruct the sieve of the oil pump intake pipe.
t  Before applying the sealant, clean the sealing surface with a clean cloth.

–  Apply the silicon based strip to the clean contact surface of the sealing flange, proceeding as shown in the figure.
–  Immediately fit the sealing flange and gently tighten all the bolts.
  Note!
Use the guide sleeve of the tool -T20081B/4- to fit the sealing flange with the seal in place.
Seal of the PTFE version
Use the guide sleeve -T20081B/6- to fit the sealing flange with the seal in place.
–  Cross tighten the bolts fixing the sealing flange.
   Torque: 15 Nm
–  Fitting the oil pan → Chapter.
  Note!
After fitting the oil pan, the sealant must dry for approx. 30 minutes. After this time, the engine may be filled with oil.
Fit the toothed belt and adjust the distribution times → Chapter.
–  Fit the Poly-V → Chapter.
