1 - Stopper
2 - Seal
q   Replace if worn
3 - Tank stopper unit
q   Removal and refitting → Bodywork, assembly work; Rep. Gr.55
4 - Breather pipe
5 - Gravitatory/overload valve
q   To remove, release the safety lip and lift the valve from the loading mouth
q   Check the passage continuity of the valve
   Perpendicular valve: open
   Valve inclined 90° closed
6 - O ring
q   Replace if worn
7 - Ground connection
8 - 4 Nm
9 - Loading mouth
q   With non return valve
10 - Dustcover
q   After fitting the loading mouth, fix above the mouth of the fuel tank
11 - Fuel tank
q   Removing and refitting → Chapter
12 - Antithermal plate
q   Welded to the fuel tank
13 - 25 Nm
14 - Support clip
q   Welded to the fuel tank
15 - Transmitter for the fuel level
q   Note the assembly position of the fuel tank → Fig.
q   Transmitter with sieve that can be moved with respect to the upper element
16 - Seal ring
q   Replace in the event of fault
q   Dampen with fuel when fitting
17 - Flange
q   Note the assembly position of the fuel tank → Fig.
18 - Stopper nut
q   Remove and refit with -U-40055A-
19 - Return pipe
q   Blue or blue mark
q   Make sure the seat is firm
q   From the fuel filter → Item
q   Embedded in the fuel tank
20 - Supply pipe
q   Black
q   Make sure the seat is firm
q   To the fuel filter → Item
q   Embedded in the fuel tank
21 - Connector
q   Black, 2 contacts
22 - Breather valve
q   To dismantle, press the fixing lip slightly inwards -arrow- and extract the valve
q   Checking → Fig.
23 - Dustcover
q   For loading mouth
24 - Fixing ring

   
Assembly position of the fuel level indicator transmitter
The marks on the transmitter and the fuel tank should line up.
  Note!
After fitting the fuel level transmitter, it is necessary to make sure that the fuel supply -2- and return -1- pipes are still connected to the fuel tank.

Checking the breather valve
Lever in rest position: closed.
Lever pressed towards the arrow: open.
  Note!
Before fitting the breather valve, remove the stopper from the fuel tank.
