Notes on installing
Carry out the operations described for the dismounting in the reverse order taking into account the following:
–  Check the wear for the release collar and if necessary replace it.
–  Slightly grease the release collar, the guide hose for the collar and the cogs of the primary with G 000 100.
–  Check whether the bushings are placed in the engine block for centring the engine/gearbox unit and, if necessary put them into place.
–  When putting the engine drive unit into place, make sure that there is sufficient gap with regards to the articulated axle shafts.
   
–  When assembling the engine supports, make sure that the rear right console flange and the trim of the front console fit into the guide rails for the metal-rubber bearings -arrow-.
–  Align the engine by making shaking movements so that the supports will remain in place without stress.
–  Assemble the articulated axle shafts: → Rep. Gr.40.
–  Assemble the front exhaust pipe → Chapter.
–  Electrical connections and cable lines: → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.97.
–  Assemble the power-steering wing pump: → Rep. Gr.48.
Vehicles with air conditioning:
–  Assemble the compressor for the air conditioning.
Continue for all vehicles:
–  Assemble the ribbed belt → Chapter.
–  Assemble the clutch control cable: → Rep. Gr.30.
–  Assemble the gearbox control: → Rep. Gr.34.
–  Fill with coolant → Chapter.
–  Read fault memories of all control units → Diagnostics operations unitVAS 5051.
–  Carry out test drive and read fault memories of all control units again.
