1 - Cap
q   Renew seal if damaged
2 - 0.25 bar oil pressure switch
q   25 Nm
q   Blue
q   Checking → Chapter
q   In case of leaking, nip open and replace the o-ring
3 - 10 Nm
4 - Guide tube
5 - Funnel
q   Remove to extract oil by absorption
6 - Dipstick
q   The oil level must not go above the max. mark!
q   Markings → Fig.
7 - Camshaft sprocket
q   Note position when installing toothed belt → Chapter
8 - Oil filter
q   Loosen via the hexagon or using turning tool -U-40078-
q   Tighten manually
q   Note instructions printed on filter when installing
9 - Sprocket
q   For oil pump drive
10 - Tensioning roller
q   Tighten the toothed belt → Chapter
11 - 20 Nm
12 - Toothed belt
q   Mark the direction of rotation before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
13 - Upper toothed belt guard
14 - Lower toothed belt guard
15 - 20 Nm
16 - Bolt
q   hexagonal: 90 Nm + 1/3 turn (120°)
q   dodecagonal: 90 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   Renew
q   Lubricate before fitting
q   To loosen and tighten, hold the camshaft sprocket with holding tool -T20018A-
q   Tightening can be done in several stages
q   The angle of tightening can be measured with measuring tool -T20030-

q   When installing note fixing arrangement
18 - Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
q   Note position when installing toothed belt → Chapter
19 - Oil seal
q   Renew → Chapter
20 - Sealing flange
21 - Gasket
q   Renew
q   Must be properly positioned onto the dowel sleeves
22 - Sealing sleeve
q   Renew if damaged
q   First place the sealing flange.
q   Oiling before assembly
23 - Chain
q   Tensioning → Fig.
24 - Oil pump
q   Checking backlash → Fig.
q   Checking axial clearance → Fig.
q   Always renew the assembly
25 - Oil pump cover with pressure relief valve
q   Opening pressure: 4,0…5,0 bar
q   Clean strainer if soiled
26 - Oil seal
q   Renew
27 - Oil drain screw
q   Sheet metal sump: 30 Nm
q   Aluminium sump: 20 Nm
28 - Sump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
29 - 15 Nm
q   Loosen and tighten the bolts on the steering wheel side with -U-40051A- spanner
30 - Support
31 - O-ring
q   Renew
32 - Oil deflector
33 - Toward air filter

   
Checking oil pump backlash
New: 0,05 mm
Wear limit: 0,20 mm

Checking oil pump axial clearance
Wear limit: 0,15 mm

Tightening the drag chain
Tension the chain by changing the position of oil pump. Check the tension by lightly pressing with your thumb.
The chain should give:
Checking value “a” = 4,0…5,0 mm
Adjusting value “a” = 3,5…4,5 mm

Markings on oil dipstick
1 - Max. mark
2 - Min. mark
a - Area above hatched field up to max. mark: do not add oil.
b - Oil level within hatched field: can be topped up with oil.
c - Area from min. mark up to hatched field: fill with max. 0.5 ltr. of oil.
