Part I
1 - Upper toothed belt guard
2 - Toothed belt
q   Mark D.O.R. before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
3 - 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   Renew
q   To loosen and tighten, hold the camshaft sprocket with holding tool -T20018A-
q   Tightening can be done in several stages
q   The angle of tightening can be measured with measuring tool -T20030-
4 - Camshaft sprocket
q   Note position when installing the toothed belt → Chapter
5 - 10 Nm
q   Fit with D6
6 - Rear toothed belt guard
7 - 10 Nm
8 - O-ring
q   Renew
9 - Coolant pump
q   In versions with integrated O-ring, the seal must not be separated from the coolant pump
q   Check for ease of movement
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - 20 Nm
11 - Tensioning roller
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Tighten the toothed belt → Chapter
12 - 20 Nm
13 - Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
q   Note position when installing the toothed belt → Chapter
14 - Pulley
q   When installing, note position
q   Removing and installing ribbed belt → Chapter
15 - 20 Nm
16 - Ribbed belt
q   Mark the direction of rotation before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
17 - Bolt
q   Hexagon: 90 Nm + 1/3 turn (120°)
q   Dodecagonal: 90 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   Renew
q   Lubricate before fitting
q   To loosen and tighten, hold the camshaft sprocket with holding tool -T20018A-
q   Tightening can be done in several stages
q   The angle of tightening can be measured with measuring tool -T20030-
