Removing and installing parts of the injection system
1 - Motronic control unit -J220-*
q   Fitting location → Chapter, engine compartment overview
q   For injection system, Lambda regulation, activated charcoal filter tank venting valve, knock control, speed governing, ignition and self-diagnosis
q   Checking voltage supply → Chapter
q   Procedure after voltage supply open circuit → Chapter
q   Renew → Chapter
q   If replaced carry out basic setting → Chapter
q   On replacement, the control unit must be matched to the electronic immobilizer → Chapter
2 - Retaining frame
3 - Supply hose
q   Black with white marks
q   Secure with spring-type clips
q   Check securely seated
q   From fuel filter: → Chapter
4 - Return hose
q   Blue or with blue marking
q   Secure with spring-type clips
q   Check securely seated
q   To the fuel delivery unit in fuel tank → Chapter
5 - 10 Nm
6 - Cable guide
q   Clipped onto fuel rail
7 - Securing clip
q   Note version
8 - Connector
q   Black, 2-pin
q   For injector -N30-...-N33-)
9 - Connector
q   Black, 6-pin
q   For throttle valve control part -J338-
q   Connector contacts are gold-plated
10 - Connector
q   Black, 4 pin
q   For intake manifold pressure sender and sender for intake air temperature in intake manifold
q   Connector contacts are gold-plated
11 - Fuel manifold with injectors
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
12 - Vacuum hose
13 - 20 Nm

q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
15 - From brake servo
16 - 5 Nm
17 - Engine speed sender -G28-*
q   Fitting location → Chapter, fitting location overview
q   To remove, remove intake manifold → Item
q   Checking → Chapter
18 - Connector
q   Only engine codes ANV, AUC, AUD, ANW
q   For Lambda probe 2 after catalyst -G130- and Lambda probe heating -Z29-
q   Black, 4 pin
q   Contacts 3 and 4 gold plated
19 - Lambda probe 2 after catalyst -G130-*, 50 Nm
q   Only engine codes ANV, AUC, AUD, ANW
q   Fitting location → Chapter, engine compartment overview
q   Grease only the threads with -G 052 112 A3-; -G 052 112 A3- must not get into the slots on the probe body
q   Probe heating voltage supply via fuel pump relay -J17-
q   Check Lambda probe heating for Lambda probe after catalyst → Chapter
q   Check Lambda probe and Lambda regulation after catalyst → Chapter
20 - Lambda probe 1 before catalyst -G39-*, 50 Nm
q   Fitting location → Chapter, engine compartment overview
q   Grease only the threads with -G 052 112 A3-;must not get into the slots on the probe body
q   Probe heating voltage supply via fuel pump relay -J17-
q   Checking Lambda probe heating before catalyst → Chapter
q   Checking Lambda probe and Lambda regulation before catalyst → Chapter

q   Checking Lambda probe ageing Lambda probe 1 → Chapter
21 - Connector
q   For Lambda probe 1 before catalyst -G39- and Lambda probe heating -Z19-

q   Connector contacts 3 and 4 are goldplated

q   If necessary release pressure in cooling system before removing
