2 - Markings
q   Three times on circumference
3 - Double clamp
q   Observe installation position → Fig.
4 - Dimension -a- = approx. 5 mm
5 - Round head bolt

q   40 Nm
7 - Front silencer
8 - Mounting
9 - Bolt
q   25 Nm
10 - Rubber ring
q   Renew if damaged
11 - Connecting support
12 - 15 Nm
13 - 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
14 - Rear silencer
15 - Markings
q   Three times on circumference
q   For repair double clamp → Item
16 - Repair double clamp
q   Must be slide over markings → Item
17 - Separating point
q   For repair cases
q   Front and rear silencers are installed as a single component as standard. In repair cases the front and rear silencers are supplied individually and a repair double clamp → Item is supplied as a joint. Cut through connecting pipe at separating point → Item at right-angles with a body saw e.g. B. -U-40075-.
18 - Connecting support

   
Installation position of double clamp
–  Position double clamp with approx. 5 mm clearance to mark A -arrow 1-.
  Note!
t  The mark “A”-arrow 1- is valid for vehicle with an automatic gearbox.
t  The mark “B”-arrow 2- is valid for vehicle with a manual gearbox.

Separating point on exhaust pipe
–  Cut through exhaust pipe at separating point -arrow 2- at right angles with body saw -U-40075-.
–  When installing, position double clamp -4- between the marks -1- (-arrows 1 and 3-).
   Tightening torque: 40 Nm
