2 - Sealing flange
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Fit with silicon-based sealant → Chapter
q   Replace crankshaft oil seal on pulley end → Chapter
3 - Pressure relief valve, 27 Nm
q   Opening pressure: 2,5 ... 3.2 bar → Fig.
4 - Oil spray jet
q   For piston cooling → Fig.
5 - Oil dipstick
q   Oil level must not be above max. mark on dipstick!
q   Marks → Fig..
6 - Dipstick pipe
q   Remove in case of oil evacuation through absorption
7 - Guide pipe

q   Clean filter if soiled

q   Before fitting, check that the two dowel sleeves for centring oil pump/cylinder block are fitted.

23 - 25 Nm
24 - Chain tension device with tensor rail, 15 Nm
q   When fitting, pre-tension spring and engage

   
Lower part of oil sump
  Note
t  Silicon based sealant → Parts Catalogue.
t  Observe use-by date of sealant.
t  The lower part of the oil sump should be fitted within 5 minutes of applying silicon based sealant.
–  Apply the silicon based sealant to the clean surface of the lower part of the oil sump, proceeding as shown.
l  The sealant bead should have a thickness of -A- = 1 ... 2 mm
l  The sealant bead should pass next to the holes for the bolts, on the inside -arrows-
  Note
The sealing length should not be thicker, if so, sealant may get on the oil sump, obstructing the collector of the suction tube of the oil pump.
