  Note
t  All hose connections are secured.
t  Charge air system must be free of leaks.
t  Renew self-locking nuts.
t  Before installing the turbocharger, fill the oil supply channel (smaller diameter) with a splash of engine oil „to prevent a dry start up“.
t  After installing turbocharger, run engine for about 1 minute at idling speed to ensure that oil is supplied to turbocharger.
   
1 - Exhaust gas recirculation pipe
q   With flexible joint; do not bend flexible joint - danger of cracking.
2 - Seal
q   Replace
3 - Ribbed bolt, 17 Nm
q   Replace
4 - Joint mouth
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   With oil supply and return line
q   Before installing oil supply line, ensure that it is not blocked.
5 - Seal
q   Replace
6 - 24 Nm
7 - Heat shield
8 - Turbocharger
q   Can only be renewed together with exhaust manifold and vacuum unit.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
9 - Retaining ring
q   Can only be installed in one position
10 - O ring
q   Replace
11 - Pulsation damper
12 - 9 Nm
13 - Inlet connection
14 - 9 Nm
q   Attached in inlet connection.
15 - O ring
q   Replace
16 - Spring retainer
q   For electrical wiring
17 - 15 Nm
18 - Heat shield
19 - Seal
q   Replace
20 - 24 Nm
q   Replace
21 - Exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-, 45 Nm
removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Coat with high-temperature paste; high-temperature paste → Electronic parts catalogue.
22 - 20 Nm
23 - Turbocharger support
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   Before installing oil supply line, ensure that it is not blocked.
q   Before installing, fill turbocharger with engine oil through oil supply line connection.
24 - 9 Nm
25 - O-ring
q   Different diameters
q   Replace
26 - Banjo bolt, 60 Nm
q   Renew complete with O-rings.
27 - Oil seals
q   Replace
28 - Banjo bolt, 30 Nm
q   Renew complete with O-rings.
29 - O-ring
q   Replace
30 - 24 Nm

  Note
When fitting the exhaust gas temperature sender with angled rod, the dimension -a- from 3 ... 5 mm must be observed with regard to the screw connection of the support of the exhaust gas turbocharger.
