Step 4 (There are no metal particles in fuel delivery unit and fuel tank)

–	Fill fuel tank with 5 litres of diesel fuel.

–	Completely empty fuel tank again as described above.

–	Replace high-pressure pump → Chapter.

Caution

It is only permissible to do the following work when the defective high-pressure pump has been removed.

–	Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove metering unit -1- from the OLD high-pressure pump.

–	Check metering unit and high-pressure pump for filings.
