t  Removing → Anchor
t  Fitting → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
  W00-10228
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew securing bolts -1- of the coolant pump and take coolant pump -2- off.
–  Remove O-ring -3-.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removing, when doing this note the following.
  Note
Renew O-ring.
–  Clean or smoothen the contact surface for O-ring.

–  Lubricate new O-ring -3- with coolant additive »G12+«.
–  Place the coolant pump -2- onto the cylinder block.
l  Fitting position: The housing cover cap points downwards.
–  Tighten coolant pump bolts -1- to 15 Nm.
–  Install notched belt (adjusting valve timing) → Anchor.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
