Part I
1 - Notched belt
q   Before removing, mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt-tip pen
q   Check for wear.
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Fitting (adjusting the valve timing) → Anchor
2 - Idler roller
3 - 20 Nm
4 - Tensioning roller
5 - 20 Nm + 1/8 turn (45°) further
6 - 20 Nm
7 - Idler roller
8 - 25 Nm
9 - Cogwheel for timing belt
10 - 100 Nm
q   Loosen and tighten with retention tool -T10051-
11 - Camshaft hub
q   Use counterhold -T10051- to loosen and display.
q   To remove, use Puller -T10052A-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
12 - Filler cap
13 - Rear notched belt guard
14 - 10 Nm
q   Replace
15 - Hub for the high pressure pump
q   Use counterhold -T10051- to loosen and display.
q   To remove use the extractor -T40064-
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
16 - 95 Nm
17 - Gear wheel of the high-pressure pump
18 - 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Replace
19 - Idler roller
20 - 50 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Replace
21 - O ring
q   Replace
22 - Coolant pump
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
23 - 15 Nm
24 - Crankshaft gear
q   Contact surface between timing belt sprocket and crankshaft must be free of oil.
q   Can only be installed in one position.
25 - 120 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
q   Replace
q   Loosen and tighten with retention tool -3415-
q   Do not additionally oil or grease the threads and shoulder
q   The retightening may be done in steps.
