Rules for cleanliness when working on fuel supply system, injection system and turbocharger
Even small amounts of dirt can cause malfunctions. For this reason, when working on the turbocharger, fuel injection and supply systems, meticulously respect the following cleaning rules:
t  Before opening them, carefully clean all the joints and its surroundings with adequate engine or brake cleaning products and let them dry completely.
t  Immediately plug the joints and conduits that are open with adequate safety caps.
t  Place removed parts on a clean surface and cover. Use only lint-free cloths.
t  Only fit clean parts: remove the wrapping of the spares just before use. Do not use parts that have been stored loose (e.g. in tool boxes etc.).
t  When the system is open: Do not work with compressed air. Do not move the vehicle unless absolutely necessary.
t  Protect the unplugged connectors against dirt and humidity. They should be dry before plugging them.
