l  Engine must be cold.
–  Loosen the screw joint of the double clamp between the catalytic converter and the intermediate silencer and replace the nuts.
   
–  Place the double clamp at a distance -a- = 5 mm from the mark on the catalytic converter pipe (lower bolts in horizontal position) and tighten slightly the front joint.
–  Insert the pre-silencer -1- into the double clamp until the distance -b- of 3...7 mm is reached between the suspension/bodywork and suspension/intermediate silencer. (The -arrow- indicates the working direction).
–  In this position, tighten the double clamp bolts uniformly to 40 Nm.

–  After tightening the double clamp, check the dimension -b- and ensure it is correct.
–  Adjust the horizontal position of the post silencer.
