Supercharger: removing and installing engine codes ASZ, ATD, AXR, BLT and BMT t  Removing → Anchor t  Installing → Anchor. Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Counterhold -T20174- or Pliers -T20029-, see equivalent → Anchor Removing –  Remove front bumper lining: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.63

–  Remove noise insulation: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.50 –  Remove the front right wheel housing moulding → Bodywork, Exterior fitting work ; Rep. Gr.66

–  Remove the engine sound proofing cover, pulling upwards forcefully (-arrows A-) and remove forwards, from the rear attachment (-arrow B-). Engine code BMT

–  Detach the outer -1- and inner -2- engine covers, by pulling them evenly upwards. All vehicles (continued) –  Separate the upper assembly of air conduits from the intercooler and the intake manifold → Item. Engine codes ASZ, ATD, AXR and BLT

–  Disconnect the connector of the-intake manifold pressure sender- and -G71-air intake temperature sender -G72-. All vehicles (continued) –  Remove the upper and lower bolts of the intercooler.

–  Release the securing clip -2-. Installing . Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:   Note t  The sleeves for the hoses and the supercharger air flow tubes should be free of oil and grease before fitting. t  Replace the O-rings if they are damaged.   WARNING When assembling the supercharger air pipes, do not use an oil-based lubricant. –  Fit the supercharger air system hoses and observe the assembly instructions → Chapter. –  Fit front bumper lining: → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.63
