Oil filter bracket with oil cooler: component overview
1 - Gasket
q   Renew
2 - 15 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew
q   Specified torque and tightening sequence → Fig..
3 - Oil filter bracket
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   Ensure clearance from surrounding components
4 - Seal
q   Renew
5 - Connection sleeve 30 Nm
6 - Oil supply canal, 22 Nm
q   To turbocharger
7 - Oil pressure switch -F1-, 22 Nm
q   Identification: Brown colour
q   0.7 bar.
q   If seal is leaking, nip open and renew.
q   Checking → Chapter
8 - Cap, 25 Nm
9 - O-ring
q   Renew
10 - Oil filter element
q   See note.
q   Observe change intervals.
11 - Seal
q   Renew
q   Installation position → Fig..
q   Lubricate before fitting
q   Engage in projections on oil cooler
12 - Oil cooler
q   Ensure clearance from surrounding components
q   See note.
13 - Seal
q   Renew
14 - Screw cap, 25 Nm
15 - 10 Nm
16 - Bracket
q   For the cable harness

   
Oil filter bracket - tightening torque and sequence
–  Renew bolts for oil filter bracket.
–  Fit bolts at top left and bottom right.
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- in diagonal sequence and in 2 stages as follows:
1.  Tighten to 15 Nm.
2.  Turn 90° further.

Installation position for the oil radiator gasket
–  Insert the seal -2- so that it can be attached to all tabs on the oil cooler -1-.
l  The oil drilling -arrow- must not be covered by the seal.

Guide tube for oil dipstick - tightening torque
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- to 9 Nm.
