t  Articulated wrench e/c 17 -T20212-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing .
–  Uncouple the electrical connector -2- for the exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648- and free the electrical wiring.
  Note
Ignore positions -1, 3, 4 and 5-.
  A23-10003
–  Fit the centre noise insulation -fasteners 1 ... 3-.
  A10-1565
–  Unscrew exhaust temperature sensor 4 -G648--1- with flexible-head wrench SW 17 -T20212-.
  Note
Disregard: -Pos. 2-.
Installing .
l  Specified torque → Chapter.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  Apply hot bolt paste to the thread of the temperature sender after the particle filter → Spare parts catalogue.
t  Fit cable ties in the original positions when installing.
