Removing and installing fuel cooler
t  Removing → Anchor

  Note
The fuel cooler is located on the underside of the vehicle (right-side).
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Drip tray
Removing
–  Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
   
–  Remove right underbody panelling -1-, → Rep. gr.66.
  WARNING
The hot fuel may cause burns.
t  In extreme cases, the temperatures of the fuel lines or the fuel itself can reach up to 100° C. Let the fuel cool down before opening the line connection, or else there is a risk of serious injuries.
t  Wear protection gloves.
t  Wear eye protection.
Injury risk! Fuel is subjected to high pressure!
To reduce the pressure in the fuel system, wrap a clean cloth around the connection and carefully loosen the connection.
–  Place drip tray underneath fuel cooler.

–  Remove fuel return line -1- at front from cooler on fuel system.
–  Remove fuel return line -4- at rear from cooler on fuel system. To do so, press the release tabs.
–  Remove bolts -2- (Qty. 3).
–  Remove fuel feed line -3- from mounts on fuel system cooler -arrows- and remove cooler from fuel system.
Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:

Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Spare parts catalogue.
