Injector components
1 - Radial compensation, replace if damaged
2 - Teflon seal on the injector (always replace). Never grease or lubricate the ring when installing
3 - Injector connection element
4 - Spacing ring, replace if worn
5 - O-ring (replace, moisten slightly with clean engine oil when fitting)
6 - Support seal (the fuel rail uses the support ring to obtain the necessary force to keep the injector still in the cylinder head).
Removing
–  Remove intake manifold → Chapter.
–  Use a clean cloth cover any of the open canals.
–  Remove the injector connector from the injector to be removed.
  A24-0533
–  Using a screwdriver, fold the radial adjustment tabs to one side and remove the injector support ring.
  A24-0587
–  Tighten the percussion hammer -T10133/3--1- with the extractor -T10133/2--2-. Next, insert the extractor-T10133/2- in the injector connection element and carefully remove the injector. When doing so, the radial compensation is easily damaged (the stems break). It should be replaced when the injector is refitted.
Installing
  Note
t  Do not apply grease or oil to the Teflon seal of the injector.
t  An open intake valve may impede cleaning. In this case, the engine must be turned by turning the crankshaft using a wrench.
  A24-0588
–  Clean the holes for the high-pressure injectors in the cylinder head thoroughly, using a nylon brush -T10133/4-.
–  Replace the O-ring and the Teflon oil seal on the injector → Chapter.
  A24-0589
–  Insert the injector with the assembly mandrel -T10133/9- into position in the hole in the cylinder head.
  A24-0591
–  Ensure the correct positioning of the injectors in the cylinder head.
