Tightening procedure of the Poly-V belt sprocket bolts
Tightening procedure of the Poly-V belt sprocket bolts
Progressively fit a new bolt.
When not using the new type of bolts, continue using the old bolts.
Be aware of the different tightening torques.
Using the new attachment bolts: → ETKA (Electronic parts catalogue)
  Note
Make sure that the contact surfaces of the pulley and the attachment bolt are free of grease or oil.
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1601-, see equivalence → Anchor
t  Retention tool -3415-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Bolt -3415/1- (without diagram)
Always use a new bolt.

The new attachment bolt has a cavity in the head -arrow-
Tightening torque: 150 Nm + retighten 1/2 turn (180°).
Immobilize the Poly-V belt sprocket using the counterhold -3415- and the bolt -3415/1-.

Securing bolt “old”
Tightening torque: 90 Nm + retighten 1/4 turn (90°).
Immobilize the Poly-V belt sprocket using the counterhold -3415- and the bolt -3415/1-.
